L'ORPHELINAT DE KATANA 
The katana orphanage is run by the sisters in Christ 32 km from Bukavu, in a slum in South Kivu in the DRC, in a city that bears its name, Katana.
The orphanage was established since 1953. To date it operates with no subsidy from the state, survives through donations from individuals and generous NGOs. it has 31 children of which 27 are in school.
The orphanage is the oldest Maisha Mazuri project, the collaboration was established In early 2003. Maisha Mazuri contributes regularly to the different demands and needs of the orphanage in financial and material ways.

NOTRE DAMME DE LIESSE
Notre Damme de Liesse is a center and orphanage of Delvaux, Ngaliema in Kinshasa, DRC.
The orphanage was established since 2002 and has 46 children of which 29 are in school.
Maisha Mazuri helps at the orphanage by providing financial assistance for the rehabilitation of houses.
Indeed, for the number of children at the orphanage, a second home was deemed necessary to accommodate all children. The orphanage is run by sisters and a minimum staff of six women who help in the management of the home.
To date, Maisha Mazuri made two donations to:
1. The rehabilitation of their damaged boundary wall.
2. The monthly subsidy costs.

SCHIPHRA 

 

Schiphra is among one of the projects close to the heart of Maisha Mazuri.
 
Unlike other centers and orphanages that care for of children aged 3 to 17 years, Schiphra cares for children aged between 0 days to 5 years.
it is a renowned adoption center in the city and currently has 11 babies.
Maisha Mazuri specifically focused its donations for rent and necessary items for children (disposable diapers, baby food, clothing, medical care and milk substitutions)
A partnership with Nestlé Kinshasa is underway so that dairy products necessary for children can be provided to Schiphra on monthly basis.

RENTREE SCOLAIRE

 

For the school year 2016 - 2017, Maisha Mazuri raised money for six of the following partner institutions:
1. Katana, in South Kivu
2. Our Lady of Liesse in Kinshasa
3. AEFEOA in Lubumbashi
4. Kimbondo in Kinshasa
5. ORPER in Kinshasa
6. Koranic school Masjid Taqwah in Namoya, Maniema
In total, more than 700 children living in these six targeted centers and orphanages of whom 519 are attending school have benefited from the activities of Maisha Mazuri
